The Life of Ezekiel

Ezekiel was a man who lived in the ancient Babylonian Empire. He was of Jewish descent, and he was taken captive by the Babylonians when they conquered his people. However, Ezekiel remained faithful to God, even in captivity. He rose to prominence as a prophet, and he is known for his prophetic visions. In the end, Ezekiel was vindicated by God, and he is celebrated as a hero.

Ezekiel in the Bible:

“The word of the LORD came again to me, saying:” (Ezekiel 2:1)

“‘What do you see?’ So I said,’I see a raging fire; it has consumed everything around it, and I am surrounded by flames.'” (Ezekiel 2:2)

“And the LORD said to me, ‘Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak My words to them.” (Ezekiel 2:3)

“For you are not sent to a people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, but to the house of Israel,” (Ezekiel 2:4)

“not to many peoples of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely, if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you.” (Ezekiel 2:5)

“‘But the house of Israel will not listen to you, because they will not listen to Me; for all the house of Israel are impudent and hard-hearted.” (Ezekiel 2:6)
